Modular Keyboard (My Graduate ID Thesis)

  • This is my Modular Keyboard: designed for easy travel and on-the-go music creation.
  • As seen below, an 88-key Keyboard is typically around 5 feet long, which makes it extremely difficult to travel anywhere with.  The weighted keys also make it very heavy.
  • With the goal of designing a more flexible, user-friendly, and portable keyboard,
    I began Ideation and Prototyping.
  • After an iterative design process, I arrived at a solution of modules that could easily slot together, making for convenient travel for musicians.
  • Take your keyboard with you for music creation on-the-go: anytime, anywhere.
